Angels Kinship Program

The Angels Kinship Program supports relatives and close family friends who are caring for children involved in the child welfare system. It offers personalized guidance, essential resources, and advocacy to help preserve family connections and promote long-term stability. Recognizing the unique strengths and challenges of kinship families, the program aims to reduce the emotional, financial, and logistical stress that can come with taking on a caregiving role.

Through regular check-ins and in-home support, Angels helps caregivers navigate complex systems such as child welfare, education, and mental health services. Staff work closely with each family to identify their needs and connect them to community-based services, parenting resources, and trauma-informed support.

The Kinship Program’s goal is to empower caregivers by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to ensure the child’s well-being while strengthening the bonds that keep families together. While the program serves the entire household, it places a strong emphasis on early childhood development, caregiver advocacy, and building each family’s capacity to provide a safe, nurturing home.

Intended Participants
The program is designed for kinship caregivers—such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, or close family friends—who have a formal placement through the child welfare system. At least one child in the home must be between the ages of 0–8.
