San Diego Fostering Services
Angels provides fostering services to children who cannot be cared for by their birth families. That service includes the careful screening and training of prospective families to ensure the highest quality of care. While the goal of foster care is always reunification, our families often go on to adopt their foster child.
Fostering a child is important, difficult and selfless work for little glory. Those who take it on know that every day a child is in their care, that child is getting a dose of attachment and love he or she wouldn’t otherwise.
There are many displaced and neglected children who need fostering in San Diego and so few families to provide shelter and love. On any given day, there are more than 1000 children between newborn and five years old who are currently in care in San Diego County.
Angels is different. We carefully and rigorously screen our foster families and train them to be supportive and loving parents. Once the family completes training and opens their home to a child, that child will stay with that family until reunification or adoption. By keeping that child in one home, he/she will receive the love and nurturing they deserve.
