Fostering Stipend

San Diego Child Fostering Allowance

Angels does not pay its parents to care for babies, and prospective parents should view their commitment as a contribution to a healthier generation. Angels foster parents are not in it for the financial reward. However, families will receive the standard fostering allowance from the County to cover expenses such as formula, diapers, clothing, and other necessities. Families may also receive assistance for additional food costs through the Women Infants Children (WIC) program. All medical and legal expenses are covered directly by the state.

To ease the transition to foster parenting, Angels provides basic supplies including infant formula, diapers, clothing, blankets, and some extras based on the child’s needs. This allows the foster family to focus on the emotional needs of the child during the first days. These new baby items have been given to Angels by generous donors in our community.
