San Diego Fostering & Adoption
When Fostering Becomes Permanent
The goal of foster care is always reunification with birth parents or other family members, but often this is not possible. Approximately 50% of the foster babies placed in Angels homes have been adopted by their Angels families.
Adopting a Foster Child
When reunification fails and our families choose to adopt we work with San Diego County Adoptions to ensure a smooth transition from fostering to adoption.
Fostering as a Test Run for Adoption
The decision to adopt a child is a serious one. The experience of fostering can serve as a valuable “test run,” helping would-be adoptive parents to understand the realities of bringing a new member into their family. If you are considering adoption, you may want to become a foster parent first.
