Sponsor a Baby in Your Name, or in Honor of Someone Special

Viola Woertz was a loving mother and grandmother who lived to be 92 years old. Vi (her nickname) was the grandmother to Angels social worker, Sara Lucchini. I had the honor of meeting Viola and her late husband at holiday parties hosted by Sara. She was indeed a lovely lady who touched me in a most meaningful way! When she passed away in the summer of 2008, her family’s wish was that in lieu of gifts and flowers, that her friends and relatives make a donation in her memory to the Angels Foster Family Network.

Because she was such a popular and loving lady, she had friends from all over the world (including the former Prime Minister of Canada, Brian Mulroney) who sent in donations, totaling nearly $35,000.00. It was at that time that we launched the Vi’s Babies Campaign in her further memory. — Cathy Richman, Angels Founder

The Vi’s Babies Campaign

It costs approximately $5,000 annually to keep a baby or toddler in a placement with a loving and committed Angels family. For every $5,000 you donate, you will be assigned a baby that you are supporting. A full description of this child(ren) will be sent to you upon placement, with all supporting details and information about the child and the foster parents(omitting any confidential information that would in any way be harmful to the child’s case). While we cannot send you pictures initially of the child(ren), we will attempt to provide pictures of the Angels family caring for the child, along with 6 month and 12 month follow-up reports on the child’s current status as to their overall health and development, and the court’s plans for a reunification with family, or adoption.

If “your baby” reunifies with family within the 12 months, another child will be selected for you with all the same information provided upon placement.

We see this as an excellent way to show select donors where their donation is going, so they can realize the incredible difference their dollars are making in the lives of each of these innocent and vulnerable children.
