Angels Partners

Working with Others to Improve Foster Care

Angels  uniquely addresses the needs of foster infants and toddlers, and collaborates with organizations and individuals who share our focus.

Angels works with the following partners:

Nancy Haller, Ph.D.

Dr. Haller of Applied Psychometrics in San Diego, Calif. uses the MMPI-2 screening tool to prepare in-depth assessments of foster parent applicants.  She offers recommendations to Angels in order to confirm that our parents are optimally suited for fostering.

San Diego County Health and Human Services

The County of San Diego provides referrals of dependent children under the age of five in need of foster families. County social workers oversee cases and make court recommendations on permanent placement decisions for children. Angels social workers work closely with county social workers to ensure the best outcome for the child is reached. Angels collaborates with County Child Welfare Services throughout the foster care process. The county also provides all Angels parents with a monthly food and clothing stipend.

Polinsky Children’s Center

The county’s temporary shelter for children in crisis refers infants and toddlers to Angels for placement with an Angels family.
